A few days ago I was fiddling with my UTG MK96 and I cocked the bolt really fast and too hard and now the bolt is not working correctly. The bolt will go forward and back all the way but when the bolt is in the forward position the bolt handle will not go down, therefore I cannot fire the weapon. When I cocked the weapon a very small bullet shaped piece of metal came out of the back of the bolt. I do not know what it is but I still have it, figuring that is the problem. The spring is still in the cocked position and has been for a few days now so I am concerned that I will wear down the spring if I do not fix this soon. If you have any ideas for solutions to my problem please post comments.

Did u try flipping the safety off?
ReplyDeleteyes, I have tried flipping the safety off and on, and don't even ask me about enough lube on my gun...I used WD-40 on the bolt a while ago and thats why the bolt is that greyish color because usually it is a shiny silver haha. Any other suggestions?
ReplyDeletePull the trigger while the bolt is back. Careful, don't know what it will do.
ReplyDeleteMaybe hold on to the bolt in case it snaps forward?
ReplyDeleteThe trigger cannot be pulled unless the bolt is in the forward and down position. It just won't let you pull it.
ReplyDeleteK the little pin that fell out might have been the pin that holds the bolt in the firing position...
ReplyDeletedont know what that means, but hey, at least i figured out what the pin was...
Did a spring fall out to? It would be tiny...
Sam thinks that the pin is for the bolt catch. For when you put the bolt in the up to down position you hear that click, that's the firing pin he thinks.
ReplyDeleteAnd no i did not see a spring fall out
ReplyDeleteexcuse me on comment 7, not firing pin... just the bolt catch is what he thinks
ReplyDeleteDont think so...
ReplyDeletewhen i get a chance ill show u what im talking about
oh and by the way, the grey bolt means that its dirty, its not the WD-40
ReplyDeleteif u clean it then put the -40 on it will be shiny....
(I think)......
